Availability of tax information in the CRA’s portals and the Auto-fill my return service

We are aware that some 2024 tax slips are not yet available in My Account, Represent a Client, or through the Auto-fill my return service. We are working hard to make all slips available as soon as possible. If you do not see a tax slip in your CRA account, we recommend using the slip provided by the issuer (e.g., your financial institution or employer).

Additionally, the TFSA contribution limit displayed in your CRA account may not be up to date with the latest information. To avoid overcontributing, we encourage you to review the records provided by your issuer while we work to update the information in your online account. We regret any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Simplified sign-in process

The CRA has introduced a simplified sign-in process to make it easier to access the My Account, My Business Account, and Represent a Client portals with a single sign-in. If you previously registered for these portals, use your existing credentials and select a sign-in option below to access your CRA account.

    Signing in on behalf of someone else

    If you are signing in on behalf of someone else (including friends and family members) you must use Represent a Client in your CRA account to access their information.

    Do not use autofill on a shared device

    Do not use autofill for your online banking information if you are on a shared device. When you are on your Sign-In Partner's website, ensure it is your information that is entered and not that of somebody else.

    If you register with someone else's banking credentials by mistake and link your SIN to them, the other person will have access to your tax information.

You did not receive your one-time passcode

If you have a new phone number

If you can no longer access your old phone number, and you have not already added your new phone number or another multi-factor authentication (MFA) option to your account, you will have to contact us.

Authenticator app and passcode grid

If you have already added other MFA options to your profile, you can select Different option to use a third-party authenticator app or a passcode grid.

If you still cannot receive your one-time passcode, you will have to contact us.

You have not received your CRA security code

If your CRA security code has been lost or has not arrived after 10 business days, you can either:

  • Use the document verification service instead to verify your identity
  • Sign in to request a new CRA security code to be sent by mail

Inform the CRA about changes to your direct deposit or contact information, such as address, phone number or name changes.

If your CRA user ID and password have been revoked, you can regain access to your account in either of the following ways:

  • Use a different sign-in option
  • Contact us to register with a new CRA user ID and password

Change the option you sign in with

If you registered with a provincial partner, you can also create a CRA user ID and password or use a Sign-In Partner.

If you registered with a CRA user ID and password, you can sign in with your CRA user ID and password and revoke your credential so you can register with a different sign-in option or create a new CRA user ID and password.

If you registered with a Sign-In Partner, you can sign in to your current Sign-In Partner and switch to a different Sign-In Partner.
