About the Registered Plan Administrator Account
The Registered Plan Administrator Account allows registered plan owners and their representatives to manage their registered plans with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in their CRA account.
Transactions in the Registered Plan Administrator Account are processed and displayed immediately.

Who can use the Registered Plan Administrator Account
Registered plan owners and their representatives can access their registered plan accounts through the Registered Plan Administrator Account. Authorized representatives, such as accountants and employees, can access these accounts on behalf of registered plan owners through Represent a Client in their CRA account.
How to access the Registered Plan Administrator Account
To access your Registered Plan Administrator Account for the first time, you must have a registered plan number.
For information on how to get a registered plan number, refer to Filing savings and pension plan information with the CRA.
Once you have your registered plan number:
- Sign in to your CRA account
- From the Welcome page, select Add account
- Select Registered plan administrator account
- Enter your business number (BN) and your registered plan number
- Select Add
- After getting your confirmation, return to the Welcome page and select your Registered plan administrator account to access your information
Available services
After accessing your CRA account, select your registered plan administrator account from the Welcome page to access the following services:
- Authorize representatives: Authorize representatives to manage your registered plan accounts
- Profile services: Access your personal information, notification preferences and manage representatives
- Registered plan services: Access various services including filing annual information returns, amendments, waivers, new plan numbers, registrations, and more
- Submit documents: Submit documents for your registered plan or new registration packages
- Correspondence: Securely send and receive correspondence online with the CRA through
- Submit documents

Eligible plans
The following eligible plans can be added to your Registered Plan Administrator Account:
- Deferred profit sharing plan (DPSP)
- First home savings account (FHSA)
- Pooled registered pension plan (PRPP)
- Disability savings plan (DSP)
- Education savings plan (ESP)
- Registered pension plan (RPP)
- Retirement income fund (RIF)
- Retirement savings plan (RSP)
- Supplementary unemployment benefit plans (SUBP)
- Tax-free savings account (TFSA)

Registered plan owner
A plan owner is the administrator of a deferred income and savings plan.
This will be:
- the issuer of an FHSA, TFSA, RRSP or RDSP
- the administrator of an RPP, or PRPP
- the promoter of an RESP
- the carrier of a RRIF
- an employer participating in a DPSP
- an employer participating in an RSUBP
