Client service
Our client service representatives can provide you with:
- general information about registered charities
- information on how to apply for registration online
- information on how your charity should properly issue official donation receipts and how to fill out the annual information return (Form T3010)
- guidance on changing your charity's legal name, purposes, activities, and more

Send your documents to only one number and avoid duplication.
Through MyBA
Through MyBA:
If you’re registered with My Business Account (MyBA), any action that previously required written correspondence can now be done through the MyBA portal. For information on making specific changes to your charity’s account, go to Making a change to your organization. For all other enquiries, simply:
- Login to MyBA.
- Under your RR account, select “Update registered charity or RCAAA information”.
- Select “submit an enquiry” from the dropdown menu.
For all other communications from the Canada Revenue Agency, you can tell us how you would like to communicate when you sign up for MyBA.
Report suspected non-compliance by registered charities
If you have information that a charity may be non-compliant, please refer to Report a lead on suspected tax cheating in Canada.
Lead information pertaining to a charity may include:
- conducting improper fundraising
- undertaking non-charitable activities
- providing false receipts
- providing private benefits to directors of the charity or third parties
- misappropriating funds
- lacking direction and control on activities carried out outside Canada
- operating an unrelated business
When submitting a lead on a charity, it is helpful to provide:
- the name of the charity
- the charity's registration number, if available
- detailed information to support your lead
- relevant documentation, if available
You can submit a lead anonymously, but if you choose to identify yourself, your identity is kept confidential. No feedback or updates are given once a lead is submitted. The Charities Directorate’s actions are only made public when they result in a charity being:
- revoked
- annulled
- suspended
- penalized
