You can claim a deduction on line 256 for certain income amounts you reported on your return.

Claim on line 256 the additional deductions calculated. In the space to the left of this line, specify the deduction you are claiming. If you have more than one amount, or to explain your deduction more fully, attach a note to your paper return.
