Help for persons who have a hearing or speech impairment
Do you use a teletypewriter (TTY)?
If you use a TTY, call 1-800-665-0354 for bilingual assistance during our business hours.
Do you use an operator-assisted relay service?
You can call our regular telephone numbers during our business hours. As of January 2017, you do not need to authorize the relay service operator to communicate with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Would you like to use a sign language interpreter?
If you give us notice, we can arrange to have a sign language interpreter at an interview or meeting.
Help for persons who have a vision impairment
If you have a vision impairment, you can get publications, forms, and personal information documents, such as notices of assessment and letters from us, in alternative formats. Alternative formats include braille, large print, etext, and MP3.
If you have difficulty completing regular print forms and returns, you can file them in braille or in large print. To get your publications in the format you want, go to About multiple formats or call 1-800-959-8281.
Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
If you are unable to prepare your tax return, community organization volunteers can prepare your tax return for you if you have modest income and a simple tax situation. For more information about the CVITP, or to find out how to become a volunteer, go to Community Volunteer Income Tax Program or call at 1-800-959-8281.
