COVID-19 Update: National COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan – April 14, 2020

Good afternoon,

Since our message on March 30, the situation has continued to evolve and we would like to provide an update on the most recent developments in our National COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan for the Agency.

We are pleased to announce that starting today, we will begin phasing in new services to the critical services list. For more information about which services have been added, consult the Agency's National COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan. If you need clarification about what this means for you or if you have other questions, speak with your manager, who will keep you updated as the situation evolves.

For critical employees returning to the workplace, all measures are in place to help ensure your health and safety including limiting the number of employees to support physical distancing and following COVID-19 cleaning protocols for any work sites where employees are present.

If you are a critical employee and need to return to the workplace to retrieve equipment to work from home, speak with your manager who will coordinate and schedule an appropriate time for you to return.

We would also like to remind you that employees who need to work can do so from home without restriction. Network capacity is being monitored as usage increases. Should problems arise, the situation will be re-evaluated and we will inform you if changes are required.

As the weeks go by and the situation changes, one thing remains the same, we are all in the same boat and adjusting to change that seems to have become the new normal. If you need to talk, you and your family members can contact the Employee Assistance Program.

We cannot say it enough, you are doing an absolutely outstanding job and we appreciate it very much. The launch of the Canadian Emergency Benefit has been a real success and a benefit to many families. None of this would have been possible without your hard work and your commitment to always serve Canadians.

You can keep up to date by visiting the COVID-19: Information for Canada Revenue Agency Employees page, or through our social media networks Facebook, Twitter and our RSS feed.
