CCB – Understanding the Canada child benefit notice
This image is of the revised notice of determination that the Canada Revenue Agency will start sending out in July 2016.
You received a Canada child benefit (CCB) notice because you have one or more children under the age of 18, and you applied for the CCB, or you were already getting the Canada child tax benefit or the universal child care benefit.
If you have to repay some or all of your CCB, the notice will show the amount to which you are entitled, and any amounts due.
To continue receiving the benefit and credit payments that you are entitled to, you have to file your income tax and benefit return every year, even if you do not have income in the year. If you have a spouse or common-law partner, they also have to file a return every year.
For more information about CCB benefits, see Canada child benefit (CCB).
