JOINT CANADA-UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PROJETS REMISSION ORDER

Persons authorized to exercise the powers of the Minister of National Revenue under the Joint Canada-United States Government Projects Remission Order (SI/91-9), made pursuant to subsection 23(2) (S.C. 1991, c. 24, s. 7(2)) of the Financial Administration Act

  1. Persons holding the position of Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner in the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, or a person authorized to perform the duties of one of those positions.

  2. Persons holding a position in the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency listed in the following Schedule, or a person authorized to perform the duties of that position, in respect of the provision of the Joint Canada-United States Government Projects Remission Order that is set out in the Schedule.

Note: The Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners are authorized to exercise all the powers and perform all the duties of the Minister under the Joint Canada-United States Government Projects Remission Order through the Authorization documents issued on October 28, 1999 and February 7, 2002, under section 8 of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Act.

Note: On December 12, 2005, the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency officially became the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Unless the context otherwise requires, any reference to the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency or the Commissioner of Customs and Revenue in documents issued before that date is to be read as a reference to the Canada Revenue Agency or the Commissioner of Revenue, as the case may be, in accordance with subsection 28(1) of the Canada Border Services Agency Act, S.C. 2005, c. 38.
