Column 5 - UCC after additions and dispositions (column 2 plus column 3 minus column 4)
You cannot claim capital cost allowance (CCA) when the amount in Column 5 is:
- negative; you then have a recapture of CCA. Enter your recapture on line 9947 of Form T776, Statement of Real Estate Rentals; or
- positive and you no longer own any property in that class at the end of the current tax year; you then have a terminal loss. Enter your terminal loss on line 9948 of Form T776, Statement of Real Estate Rentals.
In either case, enter "0" in Column 10 - UCC at the end of the year.
