Greater access for employees and representatives

Did you know…

That you can access tax information from your desktop computer on behalf of a business owner? Whether you are an employee needing access to your employer's information or a representative acting on behalf of a client, recent enhancements to the Canada Revenue Agency's electronic services make tax time easier. Represent a client allows you to access business tax information and services that are available to business owners in My Business Account.

When authorized by the business owner, you can now:

  • file a goods and services tax/ harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) return without a Web access code;
  • view account transactions and remitting requirements for payroll deductions account(s);
  • view the direct deposit banking information for authorized business accounts;
  • view and update the business operating name(s); and
  • access a variety of GST/HST, payroll, and corporation income tax account information.

Need to verify an outstanding balance for a GST/HST, corporation income tax, or excise account? Check the current account balance online or calculate an amount owing on a future date, including accrued interest.

Join us in creating a sustainable environmental footprint by reducing our paper consumption. For more information on the services you may be able to access on behalf of the business owner, visit www.cra.gc.ca/mybusinessaccount.
