In this guide we give you information on the deductions and credits you may be able to claim. It's important for you to claim all the deductions and credits to which you are entitled because they may reduce the amount of tax you pay.
Here is a list of the most common deductions and credits you may be able to claim. One or more of these situations may apply to you. See your guide for details.
All individuals
- GST credit (see Step 2)
- Registered and Saskatchewan pension plan contributions (lines 207 and 209)
- Registered retirement savings plan contributions (line 208)
- Basic personal amount (line 300)
- Medical expenses (line 330)
- Charitable donations (line 340)
- Provincial or territorial tax credits (line 479)

- Spousal amount or Equivalent-to-spouse amount (line 303 or 305)
- Tuition fees and education amount transferred from a child (line 324)

- $500 exemption for scholarship, fellowship, and bursary income (line 130)
