Payroll Deductions Online Calculator

Notice to Users:

The Payroll Deductions Online Calculator has a new look!

The changes not only provide users with improved visuals, but they also streamline the entry process.

Users must clear their cache when accessing this version for the first time. If the cache is not cleared, some screens may not function as intended.

Use the Payroll Deductions Online Calculator (PDOC) to calculate federal, provincial (except for Quebec), and territorial payroll deductions. It will confirm the deductions you include on your official statement of earnings.

You assume the risks associated with using this calculator. The reliability of the calculations produced depends on the accuracy of the information you provide.

The Quebec provincial government administers its provincial income tax, Quebec Pension Plan (QPP), and Quebec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP). To calculate provincial payroll deductions for Quebec, use the WebRAS program from Revenu Quebec.

What you need to know

To limit the risks you take when using PDOC, we recommend that you do the following:

Clear your cache

Clear your Internet browser cache and close the browser after you complete your calculations. Although we do not keep any of the information you enter, the information does remain in your session for up to 30 minutes of inactivity. Information stored within your browser could be viewed by others.

Create your own statements of earnings

Do not use your printed calculations as an official statement of earnings. An official statement of earnings must have certain information that the calculator does not include. Follow provincial or territorial employment standards to create complete statements of earnings.

What’s new

  • On March 7, 2023, the Government of Manitoba announced an increase to the basic personal amount, effective January 1, 2023. The basic personal amount will increase from $10,855 to $15,000. Since employees have received a lower basic personal amount for the first six months of the year, a prorated basic personal amount of $19,145 will be prepopulated commencing with the payroll in July.
  • On March 3, 2022, amendments were made to Subsection 100 (3), paragraph 60 (e.1) of the Income Tax Regulation, ensuring Canada Pension Plan (CPP) additional contributions are treated as a deduction at source. Please note, this deduction is not displayed separately on the Result page. However, the deduction is used in the calculation of the federal and provincial tax.
