About the assessment

The KFML-02 is a standardized test that assesses the following three dimensions: cognitive abilities, behavioural competencies and traits.

Dimension 1 – Cognitive abilities

The assessment of this dimension is divided into three subtests: numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and checking abilities.

For each question, you will select your response from the possible answers provided. The assessment is adaptive, which means that the system will select questions for you based on your previous responses and progress to more difficult questions when you answer correctly. These questions are individually timed.

Dimension 2 – Behavioural competencies and Dimension 3 – Traits

These dimensions are assessed using tests that include a number of questions related to the qualifications needed to perform the duties of the job being staffed. You will rank the response options provided based on your preferences. These tests are not timed and you do not have to complete all the questions at one time.

You do not have to complete the assessment at the same time, in one sitting, but it must be completed by the final deadline indicated in your invitation letter.

You can complete the assessment from the location of your choice as long as you have a laptop or desktop computer available, with a high speed internet connection. Chromebooks or mobile devices cannot be used.

Practice test

Practice questions are sent out when you get the test. Review the instructions and practice test questions presented to you when you begin the test. Please remember to set aside extra time for this task. The practice test questions are intended to familiarize you with the different types of questions and the testing platform.

You will receive either a meets / does not meet and/or score(s).

Additional information

Regarding the portability of result, you can transfer your test results to other staffing processes if the same test is used.
