Call 1-800-959-8281 to get tax information for individuals.

Also call this number for information and assistance with electronic services for individuals such as My Account, NETFILE and Represent a Client.

Our automated service is available at all times and provides information on the topics listed below. If you need more information after listening to your selections or if the topic you're calling about isn't listed, please speak to an agent.

Remittance voucher and proof of income statement (also known as option C print)

You can request a personalized remittance voucher for the current year, a prior year, or a future year. You can also request a proof of income statement for the 2016, 2015, and 2014 tax years.

Registered plans

Get general information and find out the amount of registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) contributions you can deduct on your current-year return—and if it applies, any unused contributions available for you to claim—as well as your tax-free savings account (TFSA) contribution room as of January 1 of the current year.

  • RRSP: Personalized information is available from September to the end of April.
  • TFSA: Personalized information is available from mid-February to the end of December.

General information

Get general information on topics such as how to change your address online, how to make a payment online and how to register for direct deposit.

Authentication

To get personalized information on your registered plans, be ready to give:

  • your social insurance number;
  • your month and year of birth; and
  • the total income you entered on line 150 of your 2016 return.

To request a remittance voucher or a proof of income statement, be ready to give:

  • your social insurance number;
  • your day, month, and year of birth; and
  • (for an income and deduction printout only) the total income you entered on line 150 of either your 2016 or 2015 tax return.

You will also have to confirm your postal code.
