ARCHIVED - 5002-PC Information for Residents of Prince Edward Island

All the information you need to calculate your Prince Edward Island tax and Prince Edward Island political contribution tax credit is on Form PE428, Prince Edward Island Tax and Credit. You will find two copies of the form in this package. Attach a completed copy of Form PE428 to your return.

What's new for 2000?

The basic Prince Edward Island income tax has been reduced to 57.5% of the basic federal tax.

A low-income tax reduction has been included in the calculation of Prince Edward Island tax. This will reduce tax for low-income families and eliminate it altogether in many cases. Your spouse can claim the unused portion of the reduction.
