About the CCRA

Business Line Spending

Over the past few years, the CCRA has had to deal with workload increases and a continuously changing environment, without corresponding increases to its funding base. These challenges were closely examined by a third party through a comprehensive resource and management review conducted in 2000 on behalf of the Treasury Board of Canada. The review concluded that more funding was needed to ensure the integrity of our programs and realize our change agenda.

The CCRA's planned spending by business line for 2001-2002 totals $3,327 million. This amount includes the $254 million in additionalfunding that was identified through the Resource and Management Review. This additional funding is subject to parliamentary approval through the Supplementary Estimates.

* The amount shown for corporate management and direction includes $196 million for information technology. Without this amount, the corporate management and direction business line would represent approximately 15.7% of the total planned spending for the CCRA.
