Are you importing or exporting goods into or from Canada?
Are you a business that imports or exports goods into or from Canada using an import-export program account (RM)? If so, you need to familiarize yourself with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) project, a Government of Canada initiative that’s transforming the collection of duties and taxes for goods imported and exported into and from Canada.
In addition, the CBSA is now administering import-export program account (RM) registrations and maintenance. The interim process of form submission will be replaced by registration directly in the CARM Client Portal as of October 2024.
