Dear 19(1):
Further to your letter of July 13, 1989, and further submissions of July 31, August 10, and September 11, 1989, prepared by 19(1) of the 24(1) we advise that a letter has been sent to the U.S. Competent Authority indicating our Department's desire to establish contact with the appropriate persons in the Internal Revenue Service concerning the U.S. Code section 842 and the Canada-U.S. Income Tax Convention.
We will keep you advised of our discussions.
