Filing Information Returns Electronically

Internet filing is available from January 9, 2017.

You must file information returns by Internet if you file more than 50 information returns (slips) for a calendar year.

For more information about filing requirements and the electronic filing methods available go to Filing Information Returns Electronically.

Filing using computer-printed (customized) forms

For those who complete a large number of slips, we accept certain slips other than our own. To ensure accuracy, follow the guidelines for the production of customized forms or see Information Circular IC97-2R16, Customized Forms.

Filing on paper

If you file 1 to 50 T5008 slips, we strongly encourage you to file over the Internet using Web Forms or Internet file transfer. However, you can file up to 50 T5008 slips on paper.

Complete one copy of the T5008 slip for each recipient and send them with your T5008 Summary. Use one sheet for three different recipients for the copy you are sending to us. Use a separate sheet for the two copies you are giving to the recipient and the copy you are keeping in your records. This will allow us to process your information return faster. Keep a copy of the T5008 slips and the T5008 Summary for your files.

After you complete your paper return, mail it to:
