Information returns program account

There are many information returns that must be filed using a business number (BN) and an information returns program account (RZ). It is important that you make every effort to get your RZ program account before you file your information return. If you do not have an RZ program account, complete Form RC257, Request for an Information Return Program Account (RZ), or go to How to register for a business number

If you want to authorize a Representative to access your accounts, make account enquiries, and update account information, complete a Form RC59, Business Consent and send it to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or go to Authorize or cancel a representative.

Information returns requiring an RZ program account number

The following information return types require an RZ program account:

• Return of Investment Income (T5)
• Return of Benefits (T5007)
• Return of Securities Transactions (T5008)
• Partnership Information Return (T5013)
• Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) contribution receipts return
• PRPP – Pooled Registered Pension Plan (PRPP)
• RRSP and RRIF Non-Qualified Investments
• SAFER – Manitoba Shelter Allowance for Elderly Renters
• Part XVIII Information Return – International Exchange of Information on Financial Accounts

• Contract Payments Information Return (T5018)

TFSA

• Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) Annual Information Return

Partnerships

• T5013 – Partnership Information Return
• T106 – Information Return of Non-Arm's Length Transactions with Non-Residents(only if filed by a partnership)
• T1134 – Information Return Relating to Controlled and Not-Controlled Foreign Affiliates (2011 and later taxation years (only if filed by a partnership)
