You can deduct the cost of office expenses. These include small items such as:

  • pens
  • pencils
  • paper clips
  • stationery and
  • stamps.

Office expenses do not include items such as:

  • calculators
  • filing cabinets
  • chairs and
  • desks.

These are capital items.
