At the prompt "Is your business closed?," press "1" for yes.

Use this option if you want to hear instructions on how to tell us that your business has closed or permanently stopped operating.

The instructions you will hear:

If you have permanently discontinued or sold your business, please notify your tax centre or tax services office in writing or call 1-800-959-5525. You must remit all income tax deductions, Canada Pension Plan contributions and employment insurance premiums to your tax centre within seven days of the day your business ends. You must file the applicable T4 type information return within 30 days of the day your business ends. To request that we close your payroll program account, you can use our online service at My Business Account.
