You do not know when you will have employees again

Follow these steps:

At the prompt "If you are not sure when your next remittance payment will be required," press "1."

If you want to report that you have no employees with source deductions, and you do not know when you will have employees again, use this option. This is often the case with a temporary closure or if you are a seasonal employer and do not know when you will start up again.

We want to know the earliest possible date that you think you might have employees with deductions, so we can make sure you make your next remittance payment on time. If at all possible, you should enter the end of the remitting period for which you expect to have employees again.

Example

If you think you will have employees again sometime in early May 2016, you would enter "2016-05-01."

If you do not know when you will have employees and cannot estimate a date, you have the option to not enter a date.

If you choose not to enter a date, we will use the last day of the month that you are calling as the estimated date and will contact you again for the next remitting period.
