Before you call TeleReply
Before you call TeleReply, fill out the back of your remittance form, make sure the account number and address printed on your remittance form are correct, and have this information on hand.
Note
For best results and to ensure your privacy, do not use a cordless or cellular telephone or one with the keypad in the handset. If, at any time during the call, we tell you that you cannot use TeleReply, you will have to mail your remittance form.
Hours of operation
You can use TeleReply every day from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., Eastern time.
When using TeleReply
- When the system ask you for your business number, do not enter the letters "RP."
- Your remitting period is the period in which you had to make the source deductions from your employee's salary. We will not ask you to enter your remittance due date.
- Press the " * " (star button) to listen to the message a second time.
- Press "1" to answer "yes."
- Press "0" to answer "no."
- Press "#" (number sign) when you are finished entering an amount.
- Whenever you enter a date, you enter 4 digits for the year, 2 digits for the month, and 2 digits for the day.
- If you hang up before confirming the information given, the information will not be processed.
- If at any time during the call we tell you that you cannot use TeleReply, you will have to mail your remittance voucher.
After you call
- You have to enter all the information every time you call.
- If you are a quarterly remitter, or if you have already told us that you will not have employees until the end of a particular month, you do not have to tell us until the end of the next remitting period.
- Keep your paper voucher along with any related documents and your TeleReply confirmation number for your records.
