Warman man, company, fined $21,000 for failure to file tax returns
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, July 21, 2015... The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) announced today that Darcy Dean Zubko, age 58, of Warman, Saskatchewan, was found guilty of the charge of failure to file personal income tax returns for 2005 to 2010. Mr. Zubko was also found guilty, in his capacity as director of 101078487 Saskatchewan Ltd. operating as All Season Hot Tub Rentals, All Season Trailer Rentals and All Season ATV Rentals, for failure to file the 2005 and 2010 corporate returns. Mr. Zubko, the company and Mr. Zubko, in his capacity of director of 101078487, were fined a total of $21,000.
Mr Zubko was convicted on April 16, 2015.
The outstanding personal returns have been filed. The corporate returns must be filed by September 14, 2015.
Mr. Zubko has until January 1, 2016 to pay the personal fines and October 1, 2019 to pay the corporate fines.

When individuals are convicted of failing to file tax returns, in addition to any fines imposed by the courts, they must still file the returns and pay the full amount of taxes owing, plus interest owed, as well as any civil penalties that may be assessed by the CRA.
