Population coverage

All tables are based on the population of accounts registered for each fiscal year.

Account registration status

The account registration status monitors whether an account is registered for the purpose of collecting GST/HST. Although a registrant is recorded under one status, there are three types of status a registrant can have:

• Non-registered - This status is for clients who do not have to be registered for GST/HST, but require an account to claim a rebate.
• Registered - This status is for clients who are registered for GST/HST and, therefore, have to charge and remit GST /HST.
• De-Registered - This status is for clients who are no longer required to be registered for GST/HST.
