Introduction - Segment 1

Transcript

Host: Welcome to the Canada Revenue Agency's video Canadian Students and Income Tax.

I'm your host Janice Novak.

This video is intended for Canadian students. Many of them will be filing income tax returns for the first time, and have tax situations that are unique to them.

To make it easy for you to find the information you need most, we've divided this video into short segments on topics such as Do I have to file?, Claiming moving expenses and child care deductions, and Claiming tuition fees, education and textbook amounts.

In each segment, I will be speaking with a presenter who has gathered information from the CRA on topics discussed in this video.

If you're looking at this for the first time, you may want to view the segments in sequence. As a helpful reminder, individual segments may be viewed again later.

Throughout this video, we will refer to Related links where you can find more information about the topic being discussed. You can also find all of these links organized by segment by referring to the Related links for this video.
