My Business Account – How to make payments using pre-authorized debit

NARRATOR: How to make payments using pre-authorized debit in My Business Account.

A pre-authorized debit agreement lets you set up post-dated payments to the CRA from your bank account on a one-time or recurring basis.

To get started, go to canada.ca/my-cra-business-account and log in.

Select "Pre-authorized debit" from the left-hand menu under the "Make payments" heading.

Click "Create new agreement."

Select the appropriate program account and payment allocation from the drop-down menus.

Then click "Next."

Fill in all the required details in the appropriate fields.

Then click "Next."

Review the information you entered and tick the box to authorize the CRA to automatically withdraw the funds from your bank account on the specified date.

Then click "Confirm."

You will receive immediate confirmation of your pre-authorized debit agreement.
