Pay notes:

  1. An MTP participant at the MD-MDG-1 level is eligible to be promoted to the MD-MDG-2 level after 12 months in the program, upon successful completion of a promotion board.

  2. An MTP participant at the MD-MDG-2 level who, for personal or other reasons, ceased to participate in the program before meeting all graduation requirements may be eligible for an appointment (lateral move) outside the MD-MDG group at the MG-AFS-2 or equivalent.

  3. An MTP participant at the MDG-2 level is eligible to be promoted to the MD-MDG-3 level (5th increment level of the salary scale), 12 months following promotion to the MD-MDG-2 level, upon successful completion of a promotion board.

  4. An MTP participant in the 3-year program at MD-MDG-3 level may be deemed a graduate of the program, provided all graduation requirements are met. The MG-AFS-4 nominal maximum salary is to be used in the calculation for an appointment (lateral move) outside the MD-MDG group.

  5. An MTP participant appointed to the 4-year program is eligible for a salary increment to the 6th increment level of the MD-MDG-3 salary scale, 12 months following promotion to the MD-MDG-3 level (and 48 months from the date of appoinment to the program), provided they obtain a "fully satisfactory" level of performance. There is no further MD-MDG-3 pay increment or promotion upon graduation from the program.

  6. An MTP participant in the 4-year program at the 6th increment level of the MD-MDG-3 salary scale who has completed 48 months of assignments may be deemed a graduate of the program, provided all graduation requirements are met. The CO-2 nominal maximum salary is to be used in the calculation for an appointment (lateral move) outside the MD-MDG group.
