Audit enquiries for businesses
- The Audit enquiries feature allows businesses with an audit case number to submit questions about their audit and get answers electronically using My Business Account.
- The feature allows businesses to see all their audit-related questions and answers at a glance and to review previous messages using the “View audit enquiry history” function.
- On average, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will respond to questions within 10 business days.
To send a question to your assigned CRA auditor:
- Log in to My Business Account.
- From the Welcome page, select "Audit enquiries."
- On the “Audit enquiries” page, select “Submit an audit enquiry.”
- On the “Audit enquiries - enter case number” page, enter the case number provided by the CRA auditor.
- On the “Submit an audit enquiry” page, complete the form and select “Submit” to send your question to your CRA auditor.
- You will be directed to a confirmation page after successfully submitting your enquiry.
To view your CRA auditor’s answers to your questions:
- Answers appear in “Mail” under the “View” menu in My Business Account. On average, the Canada Revenue Agency will respond to questions within 10 business days.
- If you provided an email address on your original enquiry submission form, the CRA will send a notification by email to indicate when the response is available.
To view your audit enquiries history:
- Log in to My Business Account.
- From the Welcome page, select "Audit enquiries."
- On the “Audit enquiries” page, select “View audit enquiry history.”
