REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FROM AUSTRALIA
This is in response to your memorandum dated April 12, 1989, in which you requested information from the Australian tax authorities regarding compromise settlements. We have now received a reply from Australia and have attached a copy hereto.
The Australians, in return, have now asked us for information. Please refer to item #9 in their letter dated August 22, 1989. In this regard, we would appreciate your help by providing us with such information as you can.
If you require further information, they have provided the name and phone number of a contact. In our reply back to them, we should provide a contact as well.
