Re: Quebec Mining Tax Credits
Paragraph 12(1)(x) of the Income Tax Act (the "Act")
This is further to our letter of December 3, 1992 concerning cash payments by the Government of Quebec under section 32 of the Quebec Mining Duties Act.
We have completed our review of this matter and it is now our view that the above-mentioned cash payments under section 32 of the Quebec Mining Duties Act do not fall within the ambit of paragraph 12(1)(x) of the Act.
