Re: 24(1) Staff Voluntary Leave Plan
This is in reply to your letter of October 30, 1990 to Mr. Pat Dunbar of our Halifax District Office. Your enquiries were referred to us for reply.
As you are aware, a number of significant changes have been made in recent years with respect to the taxation of various types of employment benefit plans and many of these changes have had serious consequences to plans in existence prior to the introduction of the changes. We have reviewed your submission with respect to the 24(1) plan in this light and have passed our comments on to the Halifax District Office for their consideration. Staff of the District Office should be in contact with you shortly.
