SUBJECT: MINISTER'S CORRESPONDENCE 19(1)
Further to your memorandum of August 19, 1988, the enclosed Order in Council P.C. 1989-1634 dated August 24, 1989, was issued authorizing the remission of federal tax of 19(1) for 1977 and related interest. Dave MacKenzie (957-8994) of Revenue Programs Division will contact the Saskatchewan Ministry of Revenue regarding remission of the related provincial tax of 19(1).
The refund will be issued to 19(1). Sandra Dodge, (306) 975-4687, Public Affairs, Saskatoon D.O. has confirmed on September 19, 1989, that no authorizations have been filed by the taxpayer with their office which would permit further correspondence with 19(1) or the issuance of the refund cheque to the 19(1) as requested by 19(1) in his letter of June 1, 1988, to the Honourable Elmer MacKay.
Enclosed for your file are copies of relevant correspondence and the taxpayer's TAPMA printout.
