REASONS FOR JUDGMENT OF THE COURT
(Delivered from the Bench at Ottawa, Ontario, on March 17, 2022).
LOCKE J.A.
[1] Having carefully considered the appellants’ written and oral submissions, we have concluded that the present appeal should be dismissed for substantially the reasons provided by the Federal Court in its decision bearing the neutral citation 2019 FC 465 (per Justice Roger R. Lafrenière). We agree with the Federal Court’s various findings concerning the unreasonableness and unfairness of the impugned decision of the Gambler First Nation Election Committee. Accordingly, the appeal will be dismissed, each side bearing its own costs. Hence, the decision of the Federal Court will be confirmed, including its costs award.
