ASSESSMENT OF COSTS – REASONS
MICHELLE LAMY, ASSESSMENT OFFICER
[1]
This is the assessment of the respondent’s costs
following the judgment dated January 26, 2006.
[2]
Considering the appellant specified in writing
that it did not contest the assessment of the costs as submitted, the fees are set
at $1,548 for items 19 (5 units), 22 (2 units x 2.75 hours), 25 (1 unit),
and 26 (2 units) of Tariff B. I reduced the number of units requested for
the assessment of the costs to 2, considering that it is a simple uncontested
matter.
[3]
All the expenses incurred in this case, which
were proven by affidavit, are allowed in the amount of $558.27.
[4]
Therefore, the respondent’s costs are assessed and
allowed in the amount of $2,106.27. A certificate is issued for this amount.
