REASONS FOR ORDER
(Delivered at a teleconferencing call on
Thursday, June 29, 2000 and revised)
LEMIEUX J.
[1] Despite his counsel's valiant efforts, the plaintiff did not show the Court that a serious question existed regarding the decision of the Refugee Division on January 27, 2000 that would justify an extension of time or an application for leave for judicial review.
[2] A stay based on his permanent resident application on humanitarian grounds, which was not filed until May 19, 2000, has no merit. It is a last-minute application which in no way warrants the Court's intervention by a stay.
[3] For these reasons, the application for a stay of the deportation order is dismissed.
