Approval of Mass Flowmeter Measurement System pursuant to subsection 44(1) of the Excise Act XXXXX

This is to certify that the Mass Flowmeter Measurement System (MFMS) installed in your facilities at XXXXX XXXXX, listed and described in Measurement Canada Notice of Conditional Approval XXXXX and Measurement Canada Device Inspection Certificate XXXXX meets the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency's requirements for a Mass Flowmeter Measurement System as outlined in Circular ED 210-14, the Protocol For The Examination and Approval Of A Mass Flowmeter Measuring System. The MFMS is hereby approved for the determination of alcoholic mass pursuant to 44(1)(a) of the Excise Act.
This approval is valid for a period of two years, starting from the date of this letter. At the end of this period, the MFMS must be re-examined in accordance with the provisions of Circular ED 210-14.
On July 1st 2003, the Excise Act 2001 will replace the current Excise Act. When the MFMS becomes subject to re-examination in two years, the re-examination will be under the authority of subsection 148(3) of the Excise Act 2001 and re-approved, if appropriate, under subsection 148(5) of that Act.
