Dear Sir:
I refer to your letter of July 27, 1999, and our subsequent meeting on December 8, 1999, concerning the application of the Goods and Services Tax (GST)/Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) to the operations of your client.
On November 1, 1999, Revenue Canada became the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.
Subsequent to our December meeting, XXXXX of your office informed me by means of a telephone conversation that the statement of facts as presented in the letter has changed. In order to proceed with your request for an application ruling, we would appreciate receiving a revised statement of facts. Further, to assist us in our analysis of the facts and the application of section 141.01 of the Excise Tax Act, a copy of the funding arrangement between XXXXX XXXXX[.] Once we are in receipt of the subject documents we will be in a better position to provide you with a response.
